April 21, 2024 | Marriage Keys: Discovering God’s Design | Loving Well

Series Overview:

This three-week series is designed to give some keys and thoughts that are foundational to a thriving marriage. The tips begin with Understanding Marriage Well. That is, God designed a beautiful gift called marriage for purposes that often get forgotten and then distorted by our culture. More specifically, when God is removed from the center and the relationship becomes all about sex, fulfillment, getting needs met and the like, it is a sure recipe for disappointment and disaster. A one-flesh relationship is profound. The second tip is Loving Well. Love in our culture has been sentimentalized and then twisted into something that can hardly be recognized as love, surely not biblical love. This tip explores loving well that is rooted in God and lived out in faith. The third tip is Finishing Well. Many people begin well but quickly fade. Staying power takes intentionality and focus. Finishing well means guarding what God has entrusted to you.

Weekly Overview:

All marriages go through cycles and phases. But what happens when you feel like you no longer love the other person? Or what do we do when we get to the place where we don’t even want to be around them? This message opens up a biblical view of love that God calls us to live out and gives us the power for such love. That is Loving Well. God has not abandoned us or His plan for marriage but gives us His Spirit so that we can supernaturally love when things break or fall apart.
