Essential Courses
Basic
This one-hour class offered the second Sunday of each month is the best next step if you’re new here. Get to know our vision, mission, and values; learn how you can easily plug into our communication channels; discover how to make Fox Valley Church your home.
Membership Class
Church membership is a step of commitment that says, “I’m all in.” Core is a 4-hour class offered three times per year. Not sure if you’re ready for membership? Come learn more about how Fox Valley fits into God’s plan for the church and how you fit into Fox Valley.
Foundations
Foundations is the perfect starting point for new Christians seeking to build a strong spiritual foundation. In this three-week class, you’ll discuss who God is, learn about developing a personal relationship with Him, and discuss the essentials you’ll need to grow in your faith.
Equipping Courses
GriefShare
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Our sessions run Mondays in the fall and the spring. You can pay for your workbook on the “Give” page of our website or app.
Explore the Spiritual Gifts
Join us for a two-hour class, designed to explore the nature and purpose of spiritual gifts in the life of believers. Whether you’re just beginning to learn about spiritual gifts or hoping to deepen your understanding, this session will help you grow in your walk with Christ and your role within the church.
During this interactive class, you’ll:
- Discover the biblical foundation for spiritual gifts
- Identify your own spiritual gift profile through a guided assessment
- Explore practical ways to develop and use your gifts in service to others and within our church community
This class will be taught by Kate Senyshyn and Julian Guevara. Come ready to learn, reflect, and be encouraged as we grow together in how God has uniquely equipped each of us to serve.

Empower to Protect with Refuge for Women
Join Meredith Hodge, the director of Refuge for Women Chicago, as she shares about Refuge for Women and the ministry they are doing. Meredith will share how we can be a part of this ministry as well as how we can play our part in ending human trafficking.
This class will shed light on some of the dark truths about social media and the ways in which trafficking begins. Trafficking is happening all around us. Let’s hear about how to fight this war together.
This class is not recommended for those under the age of 18. Childcare will not be provided.
