What We Believe
GOD
We believe there is only one living and true God who is perfect, infinite and eternal. He is in control of all things. He is a personal, spiritual being who exists in three persons who are the same essence, revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of everything and everyone
JESUS
We believe Jesus Christ is both true God and true man. He lived a sinless life and died upon the Cross as substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the world. He rose in his physical body, ascended to heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father.
PEOPLE
We believe all people are made in the image of God and matter to him and to us. Our Lord told us to seek those who are far from him. As we tell others and see them put their trust in Christ, we help them grow spiritually. There is urgency to our mission as there is a heaven to embrace and a hell to shun.
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe this is the age of the Spirit. Jesus came in the power of the Holy Spirit and promised there would be an outpouring of His Spirit upon His people. This outpouring includes spiritual gifts for his people to serve in the church and in the world. We believe all the gifts are available today and should be practiced.
CHURCH
We believe the church is the spiritual community who has put their trust in Jesus Christ for the payment of their sin on the Cross. Jesus is the Head of the Church and leads us to grow spiritually, to love one another and to bring the good news to the world that all people matter to God.

The EFCA is committed to Jesus Christ, to the gospel and to one another. As an association of churches that aligns itself with the same Statement of Faith, the EFCA is distinct yet deeply connected.
