This summer, Fox Valley Church welcomed Julian Guevara to our team. During his FVC internship, Julian will be responsible for connecting members and attenders with the church and serving our young adults.

Julian grew up in Schaumburg with his parents and two younger brothers. In 2019, he graduated with a B.A. in Chrisitan Ministries and is currently enrolled in Moody’s Seminary program, pursuing an M.A. in Biblical Studies.

We are blessed to work alongside this young man who is passionate about serving the local church. Julian shared, “Throughout scripture, we see that the local church is the light of the world, and we all have an important part to play in it. I am most passionate about people’s stories. I love meeting new people and getting to know who they are.” (So, if you see Julian in the lobby between Sunday services, stop him and share your faith story. He’d love to hear it!)

Like many of our staff, Julian is working in a role that he’d do even without getting paid. Serving young adults is where his heart is!

When asked about something that people might not know about him, he confided, “I love UFC, not many of my friends are into it, but I am obsessed.” If you’re like me and have no idea what UFC is, you could Google it, but it would be much more fun to stop Julian on a Sunday morning and ask him to show you.

In his free time, Julian enjoys hanging out with his (soon to be fiancé) Paula, watching sports with friends, and spending time with his family.
