Series Overview:

This three-week series is designed to give some keys and thoughts that are foundational to a thriving marriage. The tips begin with Understanding Marriage Well. That is, God designed a beautiful gift called marriage for purposes that often get forgotten and then distorted by our culture. More specifically, when God is removed from the center and the relationship becomes all about sex, fulfillment, getting needs met and the like, it is a sure recipe for disappointment and disaster. A one-flesh relationship is profound. The second tip is Loving Well. Love in our culture has been sentimentalized and then twisted into something that can hardly be recognized as love, surely not biblical love. This tip explores loving well that is rooted in God and lived out in faith. The third tip is Finishing Well. Many people begin well but quickly fade. Staying power takes intentionality and focus. Finishing well means guarding what God has entrusted to you.

Weekly Overview:

We are people of deep longings and strong desires. Often we seek to get from our spouse what only God can give. Here, we find ourselves in a spiritual crisis if we continually try to pull from our spouse our deepest longings and unfulfilled desires. Too often, we launch off on our path to meet our needs. As men and women, we have different needs, but each tries to get them met apart from God. We rarely see how God has a better plan. The key to Finishing Well is finding in God the strength to persevere in His strength.
